On the occasion of fluent's tenth anniversary, the exhibition space becomes, for the first time, an editorial office hosting a process of study and assembly of the organisation’s archival materials. During the coming months these materials will be embedded in a comprehensive publication that is both an archival assemblage and an enquiry into how our artistic histories and institutional genealogies can be made meaningful for the future. The exhibition format as a living editorial table will change through the months, and through the numerous contributors negotiating this process, its materials and how histories are constituted. In this process, the organisation's narrative is not presented as a singular representation but as a layered polyphony guided by multiple biographies, desires and contradictions.

Elluding an archival approach as «a representation of...», the coming months will bring together materials often considered residual or peripheral. Among them texts, inventories, leaflets, posters, and other printed matter, will be presented, choreographed as visual testimonies situated across malleable social, cultural and symbolic structures of which they speak.

Over 100 artists, writers, theorists, scholars, curators, and fluent team members will contribute to this publication under an expansive focus of their own research and experience, (re)arranging, contextualizing or drifting our shared histories as an arts organisation. In this way, the history of fluent will be negotiated as a polyphonic site, testing the possibilities of collective knowledge and art production.

Con motivo del décimo aniversario de fluent, el espacio expositivo se convierte, por primera vez, en una oficina editorial que albergará un proceso de estudio y recopilación de los materiales de archivo de la organización. Durante los próximos meses, estos materiales se integrarán en una exhaustiva publicación que será a la vez un ensamblaje de archivos y una indagación sobre cómo nuestras historias artísticas y genealogías institucionales pueden adquirir significado para el futuro. El formato de la exposición, como mesa editorial viva, cambiará con el paso de los meses y a través de los numerosos colaboradores que gestionarán este proceso, sus materiales y la forma en la que se relatan las historias. Durante este proceso, la narrativa de la organización no se presenta como una representación singular, sino como una polifonía guiada por múltiples biografías, deseos y contradicciones.

Eludiendo un enfoque del archivo como «una representación de...», los próximos meses reunirán materiales a menudo considerados residuales o periféricos. Entre ellos, se incluirán textos, inventarios, folletos, carteles y otros materiales impresos, coreografiados como testimonios visuales que hablan de las estructuras sociales, culturales y simbólicas en las que se encuentran.

Más de 100 artistas, escritores, teóricos, académicos, curadores y miembros del equipo de fluent contribuirán a esta publicación desde un enfoque expansivo basado en su propia investigación y experiencia, (re)ordenando, contextualizando o desviando nuestras historias compartidas como organización artística. De esta manera, la historia de fluent se negociará como un espacio polifónico, poniendo a prueba las posibilidades del conocimiento colectivo y la producción artística.
