Where is the rest of me? presents ten films that privilege sensitivity over rational thinking as a way to speculate on the current environmental crisis and propose forms of reconciliation between the telling of history, the human condition and the natural realm. A kind of assemblage embedded in various layers of socio-natural phenomena: rituals, interspecies knowledge, migration movements and dependent ecosystems.
The screening programme revolves around the frictions between the human condition and the natural realm and serves as framework to stimulate non-human, affective forms of knowledge with our environments, promoting alternative forms of conviviality. The selection of films creates a temporality in which different modes of consciousness and empathy blur together. The diffuse narratives and aesthetics emerging from the juxtaposition of these films problematise the so-called critical perception of reality while speculate on the possibility of future habitats emerged from the ruins of shared hopes and dreams.
